Outreach to the Homebound delivers library materials to individuals in Jackson County who cannot get to the library due to age, illness, or disability.

This program provides personalized service for patrons according to their needs and interests. A variety of materials are delivered, including large print books, audio books, DVDs, and more. Vision aids equipment can also be provided on a limited basis.

Many people receiving home deliveries are older adults who can no longer drive or walk to the library, although this service is certainly not limited to seniors. There are no charges for this public library service.

Outreach to the Homebound is possible in part thanks to the generosity of our donors. Please help bring the library to the door of those who have trouble getting to the library.

I just got my books and was so excited when I opened the bag. I can’t wait to start reading- they all look so good I’m going to have to flip a coin to decide which one to read first. Thank you so much!

I so appreciate the service. I think the books are keeping her alive. It seems like it has been helping to neutralize her dementia by keeping her mind active. It has been a lifeline and a Godsend for her. Thank you!
