Directing funds to your library helps support your community.
While the Foundation primarily serves the Jackson County Library District as a whole, we also accept funds to benefit your branch library through our Buy-A-Shelf program. These donations are allocated to a small fund that the branch managers can use to purchase program supplies, additions for the library, and other needs not covered by the operating budget.
Bookshelves make great gifts and provide lasting recognition. For just $100, you can buy a shelf from the Foundation. In recognition of your donation, a permanent engraved plaque will be placed on one of your library's bookshelves.
You can buy a shelf in your own name, a family member, friend, neighbor, or in memory of a loved one. Buy-a-Shelf purchases can also celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, holidays, and any other special occasion.
