Once you've read your new book, set it free for someone else to enjoy!
Read and Release is a book donation program sponsored by the Jackson County Library Foundation and your local booksellers: Barnes and Noble, Bloomsbury Books, Sound Peace, and Walden Books. You can donate one book or a whole shelf of books! Simply bring your books to your local branch library.
We accept books of all types and subjects, including popular paperbacks, maps, posters, audiotapes, CDs, and software (we do not accept textbooks or condensed books). All materials must be in good condition. Your donated books enhance our library collection and support the Friends of the Library book sales.
If you would like to make a donation to your branch library just take your books to the library. If you have a valuable collection of books or documents to donate, please contact Jim Olney, Executive Director, at (541) 774-6572 or email at jolney@jcls.org or
And remember, any books you donate to the Foundation for the Library and Friends of the Library are tax-deductible for income tax purposes.
