The Jackson County Library Foundation is committed to building a vibrant library system that is recognized for the excellence of its services, facilities, and staff.
As the fundraising organization of Jackson County Library Services, the mission of the Jackson County Library Foundation (JCLF) is to help our libraries attain a level of excellence in facilities and services for the people of Jackson County. JCLF seeks financial support for selected capital improvements, enhancements, services, and programs that are not provided by the County.
The Foundation was formed in 1982 and has helped secure funds for the Libraries in Jackson County in a variety of ways: JCLF writes grants for programs and library events, accepts donations to the Libraries, manages bequests and donations for restricted funds, manages annual funds, and supports the ongoing Buy- A-Shelf program, Summer Literacy, Babies in the Library, Jackson County Reads and other programs.
