Our branch libraries provide important gathering places for neighbors to rendezvous, children to study and enjoy special programs, and community groups to hold meetings and events. Each community and each library branch develop their own priorities for programs, collections, and building enhancements. Many communities have raised thousands in private donations for improvements to their local branches. The Buy-A-Shelf Program is our most popular way of giving to your community library. For a gift of $100, you can donate to your local library and receive a permanent plaque in recognition of your gift. Book shelf plaques are great gifts for any occasion.
