Our branch libraries provide important gathering places for neighbors to meet, children to study and enjoy special programs, and community groups to hold meetings and events. Community meeting rooms, landscaping, collections, durable furnishings and building materials, audio/visual equipment--many of these may be enhanced by private contributions. Each community develops its own priorities in seeking enhancements for its local branch.
Many communities have already raised hundreds of private donations for enhancements to their local branches. These include enlarged meeting rooms, a hospitality kitchen for community groups, an Art Walkway created by children leading from the local elementary school to the door of the library, specially-designed niches for displaying the work of local artists, landscaping, collections, durable furnishings and building materials, audio/visual materials.
When you give a donation to the Jackson County Library Foundation, you will be asked if you would like your donation to go to a specific branch of the county library. When you Buy-a-Shelf you get to see the name of the person you purchased the shelf for, right there on the shelf.

Donors giving $100 - $4,999 might choose from several options to be determined as the building design and construction phases are completed. Possibilities include...
